So the USA and Russia have agreed to a one-week cease-fire starting next week in Syria. Notably ISIL was not party to teh discussions.

Lavrov, announced that they had agreed on the delivery over the next few days of desperately needed aid to besieged Syrian cities, to be followed by a cease-fire that is supposed to clear the way for renewed peace talks. In CWIHP e-Dossier No. 33, the newly translated documents reveal the Vietnamese Communist Party's "Talk-Fight" negotiation strategy, first described by First Secretary Le Duan in a 1965 speech and put into action during initial 1968 peace talks.

Sad, but all I see here is the Syrian people being used as a pawn. Russia is going to make big moves on the next few weeks and Syria's President will do the same. Last, but not least ISIS will never follow any paper we sign.

I do not expect ISIL, the al Nusra front and other like minded wahhabi doctrine terrorists organizations to cease fire simply because their adversaries do. Rather I expect a rearm, refit and relocation program will be taking place since the agreement has been announced a week out. I also expect smuggling of personnel and materiel in and out of Syria will increase during this period. SGT (Join to see) PO2 Ed C.

Sure it will LTC Stephen F.. ISIL aren't idiots. They will take every advantage they can during this cease fire. There may not be any Syrians left to give aid to. I'm not being negative on this but I'm a soldier and I know what I would do.
