A few hundred jobs, if any at all, is not going to mean much, new steel plants use a very small workforce

Hopefully, at least one U.S. Steel plant will have the ability to produce the advanced steel alloys that are required by U.S. Industry. Union Pacific railway had to seek a waiver on it's steel rail imports from Japan because there are no steel plants in the United States that make the steel alloy they require. They even had to pay for a specialized cargo ship to ply the Pacific between Japan and the United States to carry the rail (that had to be expensive).

People need to be prepared to pay more for US goods. I am good with that to help my fellow countrymen but so many are not.

So American w should be willing to pay a huge tax m tariffs are a tax, on most manufactured goods? That means while net incomes stay flat, net cost of living goes up. It also means that US companies the export either lose huge amounts of income or move overseas.
BTRW: Do you think the folks around the world we SELL manufactured goods to are going to be willing to pay more for US goods than those of our competitors.
