Horse nugetts...he is pulling numbers from the oil reserves to boost his ratings. I will beleive it when it comes fronm an independent fact checker not the Chinese News Network (CNN). If production was at an all time high the prices would reflect it even with oil company profits, but they aren't. Filled my truck up yesterday and it doubled in value!

Biden *has* waged a war on the oil industry.
Fortunately for Americans, his complete and utter incompetence means he has yet another failed war.... and the oil industry is thriving DESPITE him.

MSgt Steve Sweeney fr9m the WaPo article..
In his first week in office, Biden paused any new lease sales on federal land. A federal judge overturned that decision, but no onshore lease auctions were held during Biden’s first year in office. The following year, the government offered just 128,511 acres for lease, the fewest in a decade.
The reason leases are going out is only because Biden lost in court... and even then he is slow rolling them.
He isbTRYING to slow production. He is just failing. Which is exactly what I said. He is waging war on the oil industry - but he is too incompetent to do so effectively.
You provided a chart - with no source. Even then that 12.21million bpd number is still below the peak of approx 12.8 million bpd according to https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/crude-oil-production . My math is just fine.
As far as lagging behind, I know context and inference are tough, but we are lagging behind in our recovery. We still have surpassed 2019 peak production, but the rest of the world has surpassed both production and demand from that time.
You keep trying to claim production is at its highest point, but it simply is not true. This leads me to believe you have no idea what you are talking about and just regurgitating what they told you over at http://www.leftisttalkingpoints.com . I would say over at CNN or CNBC, but even they aren't saying what you claim.

MSgt Steve Sweeney Footnote 3 provides the data source, not the chart source. It also runs off the page so is not unusable.
Oh, and biofuels are not part of the conversation. That is a completely different thing. Way to ignore the actual facts and cherry pick an UNRELATED stat just to prove you are right, because the ACTUAL FACTS do not agree with you.
We are talking about oil production. So yes, silly me, I was looking at only oil production, not oil plus ethanol.
Stop lying to yourself. And to RP.

MSgt Steve Sweeney The reason I ask for the chart source is so I can see it in context. And that is important because here you have VERY obviously cherry picked your chart and either dragged it out of context or at least dragged it from a different context. Sure, this ONE PARTICULAR chart includes biofuels.
"Oil production" is generally understood to mean ACTUAL oil production. Not oil production + corn + new efficiency in processing. Just actual oil produced.
Look at the article we are discussing here, what does it say? Set to produce 12.8 million barrels per day on average for the year. How do you get that when we are producing 20.21 million barrels per day? Answer: you don't. Your source is discussing a completely different thing - which is why source is important.
I also love how you even admit you know you are full of it. I have continuously said domestic oil production has not yet eclipsed pre-pandemic peaks. Yet you have repeatedly said we have already set new records "more than at any time in uS history." Despite no evidence for that statement, despite the article clearly stating we haven't, despite my other evidence showing we haven't you just tell me I am bad at math or don't like facts. And then you sign off with can't wait to see me cry WHEN THE RECORD IS BROKEN. The record that I have... been...continuously saying is... already... broken. Whoops!
I am not the one believing lies despite evidence here.
And yes, I do not like Biden. But you have causality reversed. It is not that I think what he is doing is bad for America because I don't like him. On the contrary. I don't like him because I think what he is doing is bad for America. I know you won't believe this, but, gun-to-my-head had to vote for one in 2020, I would have voted Biden. As it was, I did *not* have to chose Biden or Trump; I voted for JoJo. When Joe won (and yes, he won), I had serious concerns based on his stated agenda. But I was willing to - and did - give him the benefit of the doubt. And I will admit he has done a couple things right - most recently his pledge of support for Hawaii. But the overwhelming majority of things he has gotten wrong. He was wrong on Vax mandates, on covid evictions, on drilling moratorium, on shutting down pipelines, on student debt relief, on immigration inaction, on Ukraine inaction and then on Ukraine continuation, on Afghanistan, on China/Taiwan, on Iran, on Israel/Palestine, on inflation, on climate change, on civil liberties, on DOj nomination, on SCOTUS nomination, on weponization of the government, and on much, much more.
Biden is taking our country in the wrong direction. THAT is why I do not like him.
