Take a look at the comments at the end of the article and see the Navy feedback. It is just as bad as the Army feedback when Army made the changes.

SSG Andres Redondo, can you elaborate on what you mean by ridiculous? I don't want to speculate about your meaning

SFC Michael Jackson, MBA, in the two pictures above, there are SEVENTEEN different "hairstyles". The fact that all of these "styles" whether it be for clothing, hair, tattoos, facial hair, jewelry, shoes, sunglasses, headgear, etc. I could go on. This is getting totally ridiculous. The military is NOT a fashion show or a social experiment. Too many are focused on the wrong thing (see above). Personal appearances used to be very simple but now it's getting to be about the individual style instead of doing a job.

Well who says you can't have a individual style and still do your job is the question. If that is the case we should all have to walk around with the same pens, same boots, same sunglasses, need I go on....?

CMDCM Gene Treants I do have to say though Master Chief that the interactive hair menu straight blew the other services out the door! The Navy did that part right. There is no mistaking what is and isn't allowed.

The dialog was certainly colorful.

I agree, however I do have to question the Natural Hairstyle model. "No portion of the bulk of the hair as measured from the scalp will exceed two inches." If you look at her hair, it does make me want to pull out my ruler and measure - once a CMC...

I think the Navy Got this one right. It's a reasonable compromise with a clearly defined standard. The haircuts allow for proper wear of headgear and military equipment. Good enough

SFC Michael Jackson, MBA I have been able to study a little more and it is beginning to make a lot more sense now. Have to agree with you.
