Nice article on refurbishing old guns to your liking. Initial cost may be cheap but by the time your finished you have more money tied up in it which is OK if you plan on keeping it but if you try to resell it you might not get out what you have invested between parts and labor.

I have done this a couple times, with a Remington 700 PSS that literal had to be resurrected from the dead and a stock bushmaster that will launch a 77 grain otm 1000 yards. (It in no way any longer STOCK, having a Kreiger Heavy Barrel and Timmny Gold trigger, as well as a Monolithic upper from Aero Precision)

not a bad way to go if you are on a budget.
