A very brave man who was lucky he wasn't captured by the Germans. As a Jewish man he would have been killed immediately had he fallen into the hands of the Gestapo. Amazing story of heroism.

Rosenthal was among the better leaders in the 100th BG--which had a reputation for being a hard-luck outfit: "The Bloody Hundredth."
