Thats too bad they couldn't get on PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. I remember when they christened the USS New York in New York City the lines were a mile long and my brother, a NYC Fire Marshal on duty thought he would show his badge and try to get us on that way. Did not work. I whipped out my Navy civilian ID card and we were given VIP treatment to the front of the line! Was impressive!

I was able to get on board for a private tour. It was a great ship to visit.
