Let the Kurds pursue closer ties with the Russians and the Americans. The Kurds are, from my point of view, the only people in that part of the world who, with the Israeli's, are worthy of American support and any other support they can get. We've abandoned the Kurds before. I hope we don't do it again. It will be shameful if we do.

Why is Turkey in northern Syria?

Sir,
I hope America supports the Kurds with complete and overwhelming air power when Turkey uses its tanks.
Increased executive powers? Does that mean dictator, or Caliph?

That means as we have discussed before, the muslim brotherhood and their poster child erdogan are on the way to a caliphate. The Kurds stand in their way, both in Syria as well as northwestern Iraq.

Take a bigger view on it. For 3 decades we have been the allies of the Kurds - and they our best allies in the this fight in Syria and Iraq. They stand in the way of Turkey - and they stand in the way of Iran. Time is running out on the fence we have been sitting on - and that means that whatever our strategy is going to be - the Kurds are included in it.. not as an appendix. And knowing that - puts us in the center of the civil war in the civil war.

Once again we are involved in the endless wars in the Middle East. Turks hate everyone. Have been fighting with their neighbors for centuries.
