Well, I don't believe the title. Yes, the working class turned out to vote in this 2016 US election. Yes, there are signs of US & European backlash against globalism, unlimited unrestricted immigration from known hotbeds of Islamic terrorism, and other progressive ideologies. But the demographic trends of the US haven't changed. If the US voter doesn't see a linkage between Trump's policies and a better economy (higher GDP growth rates, better labor participation rates, better trade balance, etc), we should expect a liberal progressive win in 2020.

And even then the progressives will argue that President Obama's policies turned the corner at the end of his term and will take credit for progress made under the Trump administration.

Yes, I long to see the day that the country is restored to the vision our Founding Fathers had for it... where gov't was small at the Federal level and limited in scope: Any power not specifically enumerated to it in the Constitution belonged to the States, such as healthcare, education, etc.
We do not need a Federal Gov't forcing States to swallow bad Federal policies by threatening to withhold funds if States don't comply. We don't need a Federal Gov't suing the States in Federal Court for stepping in to enforce Immigration laws that the Federal Gov't decided to not enforce. We do not need a Federal Gov't fanning the flames of racism and dividing people across race, class, and gender.

Good riddance. Hello to a sane, competent Administration of Constitution preservers!
