I will start this off by saying I am Catholic- wayward at times, but raised in the fire and brimstone days were you were guilty of sin all the time. I taught CCD for 7 years and went through CCD again with my wife when she converted. I always told my kids it is the man that sinned, not the religion. I find this funny and the Diocese has set them selves up for this for years. Moving priest and other church elders around to hide their crimes. My point is the Church is outraged and wants an apology, but allowed the punch line to happen for decades. This is not just the Catholic Church guilty here, they are just the current flavor if the day and the easiest target right now. Curious to see how others feel?

I attended CCD from grammar school through high school and was an altar boy to boot... In my older years, I guess I have not been the best Catholic, but it is still who I am... There are parts of the Catholic faith that I see being sidestepped by some of the Church leaders, but as was said, those are the sins of man, not the religion. In today's time, the Church is attacked and people sometimes turn a deaf ear to it. I try not to do that and I try my darnedest to help others where I know I can help... Peace...
