There are numerous debates about this... unfortunately mental issues are like back pain, you can't prove or disprove either of them. Often the symptoms get treated not the cause.

Greetings,

I can only write for myself. PTSD is a blanket term covering a wide range of issues related to events. Both physical and mental.

It is my opinion, we are a type of biological super computer. When an event/events that causes trauma, in a million ways, our system is effected. We are not totally aware of this/these effects. We have made great strides in understanding and catching the behavior traits associated with this subject.

It was brought to my attention, by chance, that I had an issue. It shocked me and those that found it through an interview for a job. I didn't get the job BTW. Shocker there.

To be effected and not know it, shows complexity of the system in question. In this case, mine.

We need to care more about each other. Not just survive as best we can alone. I have been guilty of being selfish for most of my life. I do not have the words to express on paper how to proceed. But, we can try here on this military forum.

At the top, it reads home, people, groups... Perhaps, one title for sharing symptoms/events. It would have to be a protected area. An area of trust away from the world. We are already connected. We just have to take it a step further. It would just be one tool to use and I suspect it would start slow. As there are some strong individuals here that don't/won't be seen as in need of any kind.

Peace,

I am doing a pain clinic program at the VA in Indianapolis. I think they would go that way. They are aware of the power of Pot as well.
