And this is news how? :)
If there is hazing in the Marines—and I’m not saying there is—I’m sure it’s more brutal than the others services. Especially the Air Force’s (how bad could it be? “Keep eating ice cream till you get a brain freeze, young trainee”).
Yes, there was certainly hazing when I was a young Marine in the early ‘70’s, and I would not be surprised if there is today.

Don I dont think we should ever hurt or kill a young sky trooper, however, not everything is bad, just saying. I am not for hazing, partially that is such an inappropriate word. I would consider it training, yea training

My DI only treated me with love and kindness.... Yes, he told me what would happen if I did not say that. That was in 1975. I still do not know if it will happen.

Are we really asking this, I don’t condone hurting your recruits, but recruit training needs to be tough as war is not a place you sit and share stories and watching movies having ice cream.

I agree with your comment. Furthermore, there always has been hazing in the Marine Corps recruit training and there shall continue to be hazing in recruit training. I do draw the line at injury up through death of a recruit. Beyond that, a certain amount of above and beyond pressure on a recruit is part of the training and is necessary for weeding out those who are not able to handle the pressure and rigors of the Marine Corps. I am not saying that makes a recruit a failure or less of a person, I am saying that those who become Marines are able to push through all the hazing and BS thrown at them.
