While a collapse could be horrible Germany survived the fall of the wall and reunification.

Your exactly right PFC Lisa McDonald - and if I may add Japan was put into complete ruin as well with the fire bombing of their cities then ultimately the dropping of the last two biggies onto Japan. America helped Japan to rebuild themselves and now Japan is far from a 3rd or 2nd world country. All I'm trying to say is that we have two countries in fairly modern times that were reduced to pure rubble. And now look at both of them in the manufacturing and technology level they are at compared to 100 other countries.

I would way rather North Korea fall apart then see the terribly horrible loss of human life the resumption of war would bring.
