Yes Glock! Glock is by far my favorite pistol. It's so simple to field strip and reassemble, clean, and there's no hammer to get caught on your belt or holster when drawing it. You also don't have to worry about flicking the safety selector off since there isn't one.

I like the Glock too. I own two of them (G21 Gen 4 .45cal & the G27 Gen 3 .40cal subcompact). Both excellent weapons. Yes, they are easy to tear down and reassemble, easy to clean, highly reliable.

I think the reason the military has not adopted them more is the lack of the safety selector. When you draw, there is nothing to keep you from sending a round down range if your finger is on the trigger.

The special ops folks are better trained and don't need the safety switch. They use weapons every day and are far more familiar with them. The averagely trained person in the military needs a safety selector to protect those around them.

Yeah I got other great and not so great handguns, (like the Beretta M9A1 9MM), Sig 226 9 & 229 9/40, Walther PPQ 9MM, P99 9 & 40, S & W M & Ps 9/40/45, S & W 4566 TSW, HK VP9 (which is a really bitchin 9 MM, great trigger and cool lokking), but damn me if I don't keep coming back for my Nutin Fancy Glocks. I am in the process of trying to figure out what guns I should sell, and just get down to the guns I really like and like to shoot regularly, and I will probably only dump the non-glocks, or the glocks that I have two of G19/G22. I really dont think you can go wrong with a good glock, after having and trying most of the standard Police and Military Pistols. I have also in the past owned H & K USP 40 and 45.

That is why on every pull of the trigger on a Glock it is double-action.

I have carried Glock 23 (.40 cal) for over 15 years. I was in the "old" Army and carried a 1911 for 30 years. Hands down the Glock is a much better weapon for SOC and Line Troops.

Love my Glocks, 17/19G3 19G4/20/21/22/22OD and several conversion barrels for Sig 357, and 9 MM. If you had to grab one gun for your bug out bag-glock 19 in 9 MM!

My Glock 20SF in 10 MM with an after market Wolf barrel is my new hunting sidearm, as a backup to my hunting rifle, when in the woods. In California the 10 MM is Bad Medicine for any Bear or Mountain Lion that sees me as a meal. Might be a little light for Brown bears (grizzlies) in Alaska, but I don't hunt in Alaska.

Oh Lordy, don't know if I could take all that excitement. I love Glocks. I won't say they are the best gun ever made, but they are IMHO the best value, their modularity is off the charts awesome. So simple to field strip its not funny. You want an auto version, step this way, convert it to a carbine, step over this way, hunt with it, kill bad guys hey we got 9mm, .357 Sig, 10mm, .40, .45, and aftermarket .460 Rowland. You need that full size, compact, or sub compact? Oh and the mags are interchangeable. Hell Yes!

Yeah this is Glock Lover's Viagra to see the US Military finally figuring out that Glocks make sense at least for more highly trained operators. Just don't forget to NOT put your finger in the trigger guard or in the trigger until you have made that decision to shoot.

too bad the US Military will not be more sensible to looking at all the AR-15 customization variations we have here in the civilian world and the AR-15 calibers and quick change out upper receivers, 6.8 SPC, 6.5 MM Grendel, 300 AAC Blackout, 450, different calibers and upper receivers for different missions, DSM, Hunting, Barrier Penetration, whatever.

Yeah Kevin, as you can see I am a two gun dude, when it comes down to it, Glocks and AR-15s. Only the Glocks come close to being the AR-15 of the pistol world. That is why we LOVE them so much. Well love is kind of too strong a word. More like HAVE to have them to protect the people in our lives whom we actually LOVE.
