There was a time when suicide was an honorable way to resolve certain situations. Especially in Japan. However, it appears that the culture has evolved to a more western view of suicide.

SMSgt Thor Merich very much so because it's not the honorable sort of suicide most of it is from youth as well because stress lack of programs and practices to manage it as well as a society refused to a Knowledge the problem.

PFC (Join to see) - At least it sounds like Japan moving in the right direction. I had three close friends commit suicide over the last 10 years. All for completely different reasons. One was depressed and had been fighting depression all his life. Another got himself in a tough situation and thought that suicide was the only honorable way out. The third one had a history of mental issues that were never properly addressed, as her mental issues progressed her ability to handle stressful situations became worse leading to her only option (in her mind).

Suicide is a tough issue that society needs to get better at addressing. However, I think we are way better at it than we used to be.

SMSgt Thor Merich troubled thing about the people who are serious about suicide they almost never show anything is wrong with them and the next thing you know one morning you find put they killed themselves and leaving you to figure out why. I know from experience.
