This could turn out to be this generation's version of agent orange that we Vietnam vets fought so hard to get recognized and still have trouble with even now

This and all the metal found in the dirt in Afghanistan. The metal is being breathed into the lungs which might cause long term harm.

Your both correct and then there is the oil well and nerve gas crap we put up with in Strom 91. I triple hitter Iraq 2 AFG 1 and a det Pakistan were they found same thing metal in the dirt and the site we were on was in question. The only good thing out of that is the last MASH unit was there and the doctors were complaining that is why they did test oh ya we had one big burn pit also. I loved my job did what they asked and helped a lot of people. I would hope when I need help they will be there like I was for them.

SPC Andrew Griffin, The government can do anything they want to if it's in their best interests. This will be just like the AO complaints that the VA denied for years, while the troops were dying because of it. It's unbelievable how corrupt our VA is when it comes to owning up to what the causes for respiratory and cancer is. It's just sickening the way our troops, that were sent into harms way, are treated after returning from a deployment and after they get out. Like the author wrote, you guys need to come up with your own proof instead of waiting on the VA.

It's a shitty deal our troops have to endure. It's bad enough being in that God forsaken country without having to worry about what to do with waste.
