There must be a lot of Alcoholics Anonymous chapters up there Canada has a lot of drinks to. Drinking is one fact that my sister to commit suicide on July 4th 2015. Not a fan of drinking even though I used to be in the fraternity and drink in my twenties. We've got too many people kill themselves from drinking and drugs up here in Canada at least three of my wife's cousins committed suicide due to drinking or we're drinking made it easier for them to do that and now we all suffer

I am so sorry about your Sister.
I have had friends and family members that have abused alcohol, and have died or have had severe disabilities due to abusing alcohol ( his mental capacity reduced to a teenager - in a 55 year old body ). It is so sad and heartbreaking. A classmate returned from Iraq and drank himself to death due to not being able to get the correct assistance from the VA. But I remember when I was in the military, I bought a bottle of Bacardi Rum for a couple of dollars, but a case of soda was $6 ( 30 years ago ), and cigarettes overseas were $4 a carton!!! And we wonder why so many servicemembers are smokers and drinkers!

PO2 Robert M. - we have a big-time cigarette problem up here in Canada with the prices cigarettes are $12 a pack compared to $4 a pack in California and everyone in town is going through dumpsters looking for bottles because a 1-liter bottle is $0.25 anything smaller is $0.10 there get your bottles and cans and you could tell who the bums are because you generally won't find very many men and women in their thirties or forties or older riding bicycles when it's 5 degrees outside and smoking a cigarette while they're riding their bike you know those of the people with addictions.

Or, in one case in Minnesota, a kid was drunk and she passed out on the porch of her apartment, they had to thaw her out of the ice to bring her to intensive care. What a sad story - her sober driver did NOT wait until she got into her apartment, she stopped to rest, they found her in the morning frozen into the chair on the porch. It was awful!!
