I am convinced the lefts plan is to destroy the all volunteer force in order to reinstate the draft. The targets of the draft...conservatives. They will then use the draft to 'reeducate' the masses.

Sound far fetched? Sure. But look at the actions and decisions of the current administration.

Dry Dock space is at a premium right now, and dock workers are hard to come by for the repairs needed. The unions can't keep people hired, and they won't let private companies work on them. Many companies won't work on them because of all the red tape involved in getting contracts. Government won't let you underbid unions either, so stuff sits either pier side or in a flooded dry dock waiting for the parts and approvals (read money) to make the repairs.
