Bingo! When government demands that businesses give workers more than their skills are worth, this is what will happen. The demand for $15 / hour or more for burger-flippers will lead to the mass adoption of robots OR the loss of many minimum-wage jobs. Working at Burger King or McDonald's has never been intended as a permanent job, it's a first job to bring young part-time workers into the labor market. Trying to make such a low-skill job into a permanent "earn my living" job is absolutely absurd. You cannot fight the market and make low-skill workers into highly paid workers, that will drive many fast-food joints into bankruptcy.
