I have a bunch of these I was given at birth, but I have no idea how I can take advantage of them, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask. I tried using my first one right after high school, I think it worked? When it helped me get into the Army, but now I'm confused because when I showed up to basic, half my platoon was black, hispanic, or asian. I tried using my second one when I was laid off as a Union Carpenter back in 2007 and I tried using my third when I was forced to file bankruptcy and lost my house after never bouncing back in 2007 and the 2008 housing market crash.

I've gotta be using them wrong. I think my wife figured it out. She just got hired on at Eskenazi Hospital as a nurse practitioner. Now I told her time and time again, "use those damn cards and stop studying so much, look these cards are golden, that bachelors and masters degree in Science of Nursing means absolutely nothing". I don't know what she did, but after she graduated IU she had to of used that card.

I just noticed the expiration date on these cards. This may not be good, I was given them at birth and they expire on 12/31/2020. FML!

SFC Harry H. - the expiration date may have nothing to do with your expiration. that may be the last day of white, male, privilege. if so, we all need to band together and buy a deserted island

I am angry. I am angry that I am being labeled as are a lot of older white men with a broad brush. I am angry that just because I am white people think I am privileged. I am angry because I am white and older people think I am targeting women. I am angry because idiots like this are spewing vitriol anger and the American public is buying it. Let me tell her something...I have never treated anyone and I mean anyone, especially women, with any kind of disrespect. Neither did either one of my wifes or my grandfathers, fathers, nor did my uncles, brothers or cousins or thousands of white men I have come in contact with over the years. Everyone of us in my family tree worked our @$$#$ off to stay off government assistance. Yes it was offered to some folks in my family but they said no and worked and scrimped and scratched to take care of their families keeping food on the table and a roof over our heads...it wasn't easy sometimes working two jobs but they did it because they had to. I worked three jobs to get through college. For someone to call us privileged just really fires me up. Don't assume the whole barn is bad and need tearing down because of a few loose boards. There are bad ones out there but don't just say we are all bad because we aren't!

I am tired of being categorized, and yes I am angry...and I am not going after women in the me too movement...I have been happily married for over 26 years and I it has taken her 26 years to train me...I don't wan't or desire to start my training over.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Absolutely...I remember my parents thinking we couldn't hear them in the other room talking about what bills they were going to pay and my dad saying he would get some extra work somewhere to pick up some cash and my mom would try to get a part time job but somehow they managed to get through. My mother in law told me that one time at Christmas they had a really bad crop year and could barely afford food and heat so they gave each other a towel for Christmas and my wife got a few small things to open...privileged??? I think not.

I am so tired of this. In your opinion you never invoked White privilege. Ok but doesn’t change the fact it exists. I never used my Black privilege to get into good schools. Doesn’t change how folks assumed I must’ve been on an athletic and not academic scholarship. This I’m offended cause someone is generalizing and categorizing folks is getting old. Just like a few Islamic terrorists resulted in folks saying the whole religion and all Muslims are evil terrorists. We know damn well who she was talking about; those misogynist old White men in Congress that supported Kavanaugh and started making statements that there’s a war on White men. Heaven forbid anyone says there’s a war on Black men or Hispanic men or Muslim men or immigrant men in out country today. Some women would say there’s a war on women after how Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Bottomline, if the allegation doesn’t apply to you then why the outrage?

MAJ James Woods - The allegation does apply to me because I am white...I am angry because I don't like to generalize at all. When Whoopi said that Angry White Men are coming after women...she is a person of television influence and people (her followers) that hear that believe it and beieve that all white men are that way. The generalization may get old with you but I am not going to sit by and let folks lump me into a group of sex crazed, maniacal, psychopaths that get everything they want because I am white. When folks of any influence spew this out their followers believe it lock stock and barrel. But if she was talking about the old white men in Congress then she should have said that. Most folks don't see that those are the ones she is referring to...they just heard her say what she said and out of the barn it went.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth Well I’m Black and I do my best not to get angry or emotional or take it personal when Trump or some pundit on Fox News says all Blacks are thugs, or play victim, or expect handouts, or are gang members or drug dealers or smoke pot or needs a father in their life to be successful or needs an athletic scholarship to get into a good school, etc. Yeah I’ve heard it all. Shake my head and tell them all Blacks aren’t like that. So yes I think this generalization argument folks like to use and complain about is a symptom of a bigger issue and it’s getting old. We both know what White angry men she’s talking about, those Senators that yelled during the hearings and the ones that got on Conservative outlets and ranted.
