The British Empire was around long before the EU. They will be fine. Independence from a massive bureaucracy like the EU will harm no one in the long term. Will there be some short term pain, sure. This is a typical globalist alarmist pap. They survived the Somme, Verdun, the Battle of Britain etc. This will be an asterisks in the history books for them.
My wife is a Brit, her family is all there so we have a little skin in the game. I am not worried. You should not be either. Have you ever even been there?
It was likely far riskier staying in the EU (for Britain) than leaving it. They remained on the GBP (never went to the Euro) so they should have few currency valuation issues to deal with.

The way I look at it BREXIT is great for the UK, gets them off of welfare duty to other nations.
