Results from an analysis by the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School were even more pessimistic. According to the findings, a 10-month gas tax suspension would save a grand total of $16 to $47 per person for the entire period.

my math says about $90 for me -- not significant, but the nickels and dimes add up. Where are the other policies creating more nickels and dimes, else this is just a finger in a dike with multiple holes...

To me this is a political stunt that will cost more than the benefits as demand will drive the price back up again. It does nothing to address the supply issue and exacerbates the pricing issue by releasing the reins on demand that higher prices put in place. As a result of reduce demand from higher prices, the cost of fuel has already begun to drop. This will reverse that without addressing the real solution
