Why Donna Summer was "one of the original rock stars"

A very talented women. Of course the article brings up BS like racism and homophobia killed disco. She was a rock star but not an original, she was born to late. I still enjoy her music and what an interesting beautiful voice. So seductive.

She was great. She had some really wonderful songs that people loved to dance to.

She was not a rock star. She was a Disco star.

She was a star - and worthy of the title. Even worthy of other titles, such as Diva, Glam Goddess, or her true title, "Queen of Disco." But rock star sing rock. BTS are not rock stars, YoYo Ma is not a rock star, and Pavarotti is not a rock star.

Maybe I'm just a snob or a purist, but.... no.
