Why Is There So Much Disdain for Universalism?

I have a Muslim friend who is a day trader. I met him because he is also a part-time Taxi Driver even though he has a college degree. He does not hold it against me that I am Catholic. He is a good man and I respect him and his Sunni Islam. He's very helpful and I respect all the good things that Islam does. The five pillars of Islam should be very much approved by the Christian churches. Muslims even believe in the Virgin Mary and they believe that Jesus Christ was a prophet as well.
