SGT (Join to see) Today I had a discussion about this very topic. Given that it is impossible to identify someone's religion by how they look, how would one propose to ban all believers of Islam? Are we going to ask them? If someone is planning to do harm and us here in the U.S. they are not going to self identify. Muslims live in and are citizens of countries that we consider our allies England, Canada, Ireland, Italy, France, Norway, Portugal....... This is not the same as Jimmy Carter's ban on Iranian Immigrants, where they were identifiable as a group.

CPT (Join to see), That was my point. We can't tell in any religion if there are radicle factions that want to kill us. It's proven the American born Radical Muslim is here and the visa vetting isn't good enough to stop immigrants from entering our country and killing us. I don't know what the answer is, but the admissions set up, to allow the immigrants into America has a long way to go to get the American people to not fear Muslims. I'm beginning to hear on the news about more Muslim bashing on the streets. Are they our next "black slave" bashing group because of their color and religion? I hope not. That's not what America is about.

SGT (Join to see) - Let's distinguish clearly first what Islam is all about and if it is incompatible with Western values, and the consequences of making an error.

CPO Andy Carrillo, MS - This is an essay given to support a psychologist idea that Islam breeds criminality. Of course we would all want to have essays supporting our own theory right? It's not a good source to use to make a case against Islam.

To whoever wrote this trash, Dylan (whatever his last name is) who killed those folks in church was deemed a terrorist, so are we going to regulate few American born white males who have weapons? In Chicago there was over 10 people killed in one weekend and some cops. Are we going to regulate the few American black men with weapons also? Are we going to regulate the 1% of crooked and worthless police officers who are making the whole force look bad? Are we regulating the few Asian females who come over here on "vacation" JUST to have a child on American soil, and enjoy the perks of it while living in China, India, and many other Asian countries? Note Trump didn't mention that aspect of immigration anywhere in his stumps, and neither did any other candidate. Are we going to regulate all the few American home grown militias who threaten the government DIRECTLY Ala Klive Bundy(s)? I don't know of ANYONE who could've pointed weapons at federal officers, take pics of it, and no one gets arrested let alone shot? Try that in B-More, Chicago, LA, NYC, DC, virtually anywhere else and see what happens. This is a joke. Another way to stir up anti-whatever isn't popular while avoiding the real issues that are harming the country more than anything we can allow through the borders. If we cannot fix our OWN house with our OWN internal issues, you think stopping anyone from coming in will stop it? We have visas available for those in the medical and technical fields. Are there some very qualified individuals using them? HELLS YEAH being math and sciences aren't as cool anymore in America as having the coolest car, girl, clothes, and expecting the world at your feet at 18 years old having done nothing in life short of graduating High School. Look at the number of doctors who aren't native born, scientists who aren't, mathematicians who aren't, and THEY are living the American dream. Come here go to school, get educated and move up the ladder of success. I haven't seen my doctor ever doing the whip or nee nee, driving a Ferrari, but he has some serious wisdom about spending money and living a good prosperous life. Stop trying to dig up new ways to hate, and make it seem your insecurities are what the collective should feel. If you feel the need to hate based off race, religion, sex, whatever, you can go right ahead and miss me with your presence. Bye Felicia.

I'm all for improving how we study those who want to immigrate here to reduce the risk of someone entering the country who might be a threat, however I am vehemently against imposing a religious test and treating people of one religion differently than people of another religion.
Treating people differently because of their religion is bigotry.
Treating people differently because of their religion is bigotry.

SSG (Join to see), I don't think that is right either. The U.S. Born Muslims are being harassed and threatened everyday since San Bernardino. The person(s) threatening them are the bigots you are talking about. I have to admit, when I'm out shopping, I do take a second glance as the Muslim females they pass by me. They don't look at me, and they know what I'm doing, and in my heart I know it's wrong, but so is what the Jihad does to Americans, claiming to be Muslims. It's a damn mixed up world we are living in.

Quite frankly a woman in Hijab isn't something I see every day and I'll take a second look just because it's unusual. The same with anyone wearing cultural or unusual clothing I don't see every day. I've always been curious, and if you spark my curiosity... I'm not usually inclined to hide it.
