I agree. At the same time, why any veteran would support someone like Hillary Clinton is absolutely beyond me. I will never fully understand the hypocrisy

SSgt Christopher Brose - As to the “split votes” myth which the 2 major political parties have perpetuated, the two parties do not “own” YOUR vote, nor do third parties take loyal registered party votes from the two parties. Everyone loves the story that Ross Perot gave Bill Clinton the Presidency, but Clinton only won by 6 million votes, yet 92 MILLION registered voters FAILED to cast a ballot. It is those who do NOT vote which decide the outcome of the elections. Had the approximate 24 million registered Republicans voted instead of staying home, Clinton would not have been President.

SPC Tanya Cummings Boozer It's not a myth. You can play the "what if" game about non voters voting, but the fact is that among people who actually voted, Perot split the vote and gave the election to Clinton. Gore supporters would probably argue that Nader cost them the election in 2000.
By the way, I support election reform. I'm not against having other options than the two major parties. I'd like to see a runoff election in December for the top two vote getters in November, that would allow people to vote for whoever they want in November. The vote would still be split, so to speak, but it would be a much better representation of what the country wants.

Like I have said before, Veterans are pawns in the political game. After the election we will be discarded until we are used again. Every candidate is guilty of using us.

PVT Robert Gresham - ok. I read it differently. I see all the 2A folks talking about people taking weapons but never give a shred of proof, so I bunched you into that group. I apologize.
Biden would be the ONLY way the Dems have a chance to win should Hillary be indicted. Should she be indicted to some, she should not continue on being it would be a "scar" that would take away from the Presidency much like Nixon. But at the same time, a indictment is not a conviction, so she has the right to win and loose in the end.

SSG Warren Swan - Nixon had not one single political or criminal black cloud hanging over his head in 1968. You and I don't have enough fingers to count all the scandals in which Hillary has been involved. And I don't care if she has not been indicted. In the the real "outside of Washington" world, she would already be in prison, and you know it. At least I sure hope you do.

SCPO (Join to see) - Nixon waited until reelection to finally get that with Watergate. HRC will not see a prison. She's not one of us. She's not a commoner, and she's been groomed for this since Bill was Governor, All the double talk, back room deals, favors owed and given, she knows them all. She is a member of the 1% club that has the most money in America. But she actually doesn't have it, she has ACCESS to it. Again another reason why she can get away with things you and I would be under China for. And even in that 1% club, she's in the 1% of that due to her influence, connections worldwide, and a litany of other things that separates her from the common rich person, which separates her from us. Trump has more money than all the candidates combined, but doesn't have the access she does. So what me and you again would be under the jail for, she can laugh off. I'm not justifying anything she's done, I'm only stating she is not like you or me; her rules are much looser, and when she screws up, a laugh, dinner, cigar, with a favor thrown in gets it done away with.

Yes and no. Maybe or maybe not. Director Comey has not had his say. But back to a more salient issue: the word "right" has gotten bandied around here. Hillary has no "right" to run for or be anything. It is a mere understood, but unwritten privilege of native-born American citizenship. No one has a "right" to protest or of expression. Neither is enumerated in the Constitution. Supreme Courts have greatly overstepped their constitutional authority by creating law since its earliest days. We continue to acquiesce to this abuse by not telling them and other lower level courts to piss up a rope.

I've been against him well before this news based on his carnival barker, reality show demeanor. You want an actual Conservative? Vote for Cruz. Trump won't have my vote, nomination or not.

SSG William Dunstone 1SG Joseph Yorski, MHS: each of you posted your comments three months ago. Few conservative pundits would have disagreed with your viewpoints then. Things have changed dramatically. Are you now saying you will intentionally cast your vote for Hillary because of your previously-voiced positions on Trump? My question is more rhetorical, than a request for an answer. You do not owe me one. I only hope that your viewpoint is in the minority. Don't get me wrong. I really have a hard time stomaching Trump because he is so pompous and arrogant. But would I vote AGAINST him by voting FOR Hillary? Not even on Death's Doorstep.

SCPO (Join to see) - Fair question, and no, I'll never vote for Hillary, or any progressive. But that's part of my problem with Trump, that he's a progressive, just allegedly on the Right. I wanted a Constitutional Conservative and Ted Cruz was just that. #NeverTrump for me means just that, Never Trump.

1SG Joseph Yorski, MHS - a second offering of whimsical reflection on this topic: is it possible that the term "progressive" has become filtered by years of Media misdirection, labeling, and character assignment to the point that it no longer means what it did in everyday, political conversation? Me, there is something about the word I find challenging and forward-looking. Until I learned that George Soros is the final man behind Progressive Insurance, until I hear the term applied to people like the Clntons, et al. Remember when gay meant something far removed from its usual assignation today? What about rainbow? How can anyone today escape the image of that flag or the name of an organization, the Rainbow Coalition? Simple, nice words highjacked and adulterated to mean something entirely different. Just a thought, but maybe this is also why I can no longer righteously call myself a Republican. I know I am a Scalia Strict Constructionist, though. The term, Republican, has soured in my mouth over the last several years. And I have some Republican friends in Congress, meeting with one just recently at an IRP activity prior to this Monday's Iowa Republican Convention. I was not at a loss for words then. I am not very pleased with that whole sordid affair called Congress.
Anyway, just a thought on words...

SCPO (Join to see) - Spot on! I'm waiting to quit the GOP until Trump's officially our nominee. Then I'll know we've officially gone the way of the Whigs.
