Very interstig article CPT Jack Durish I love it when we tell the enemy what are next strategy is to counter their threat, let's send them the manuals on the tactics as well (lol). Sorry, this has always been a sore subject with me - can't we keep any stratgey or tactics under wraps and confidential in the military services or is this just propaganda?

Maybe. Then again, the Soviets went nuts when President Reagan announced Star Wars and spent their empire into bankruptcy trying to counter it before we ever successfully created it. Truth be told, we never achieved Reagan's vision of an impenetrable shield. The threat alone was enough

CPT Jack Durish - Great point - I wonder if we'll ever get the Missle Defense completed? Huh?

New missiles might become a Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA) that will change wars and doctrine.

I think so too. They can keep for long times with little maintenance, are easy to stockpile, and can be launched in large quantities. And for a theatre the size of the South China Sea, within range of most regional military targets from mainland China.

I think the new RMAs will be hypersonic missiles, laser weapons, rail weapons, smart cluster bombs the air force can drop on armor and mechanized units, and drones. That is the front end. The back end is those militaries who experience catastrophic attrition will lose the wars.
