Thank you for this excellent information PO1 William "Chip" Nagel!!! I have read about this some time ago, but the methodology, although extremely interesting, is not new... and yes, when an object passes in front of star, there is a minute drop in the star's light that is being given off to the Cosmos. I believe that this student's work is certainly worthy of note and I applaud what she has accomplished thus far, Further, I wish her every success in confirming the results she has obtained thus far... We all must remember, however, that some of the stars we study are billions of light years away or megaparsecs out in the vast Cosmos and we, relatively speaking, are using the astronomy tools we have today, but in the years to come will have better and better tools with which to conduct our research... We must all continue to pursue our depth of knowledge in the vast Cosmos we are a small part of... Great Post Chip!
