Dwarf Planet Ceres -
Ceres is a small dwarf planet in our Solar System's "Asteroid Belt"... In this video composite, the images are real, taken by the Dawn Space Probe, whose mission included both the largest Asteroid, Vesta, and Dwarf Planet Ceres... I believe that you will find this short video extremely interesting, worth watching and a great experience! Humans can not travel this far into space, as yet, but this is a phenomenal substitute! Full Screen, Sound Up please...for the best possible experience...
Here are some fundamental facts:
"Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt that lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, slightly closer to Mars's orbit. With a diameter of 945 km, Ceres is the largest of the minor planets and the only dwarf planet inside Neptune's orbit. It is the 33rd-largest known body in the Solar System." Wikipedia
Radius: 293.91 mi
Mass: 8.958 × 10^20 kg
Orbital period: 1,682 days
Coordinates: RA 19h 24m 0s | Dec +59° 0′ 0″
Did you know: As of 2008, there are five recognized dwarf planets: Pluto, Ceres, Eris, Makemake & Haumea.
