I try to live in 3 time zones every day.
The past to learn from my mistakes and to understand the harm I may have done to someone I care about.
The future to ensure I know where I'm trying to go and to lead my family well.
And the present to put it all together in an effective way.
I hope someday I get my system down pat. I still need a lot of practice at it.

I seem to spend a lot of time going over the past trying to figure out and justify my many mistakes and misjudgments. The originally posted statement sounds like vintage Maj Kim Patterson

Capt Tom Brown we can't live in the past. It is gone and we can't change what happened. We cannot live in the future because it is not promised. We can learn from the past and plan for the future but we need to be present today. Today is the perfect present. Find joy in the present. Feel the experience. Fill your memory box with happy memories you make by living in the present. In the words of Robin Williams "Carpe Diem!"
