Ephesians 4:31 (NLT)
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.
Colossians 3:8 NLT►
But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

How well I know these feelings, I have boxed them up and held them privately for many many decades.... I am not sure that there is a disposal site where they can be deposited so that they cannot escape and return... Like Pandora Box, I dare not remove the lid...

I tend to go from somewhat mad to all out rage in a nanosecond. I am learning how to control and hopefully someday, get rid of it. I'm hoping to attend this evening.

SFC Richard Williamson - Probably never rid yourself of these feelings, but harness them and never let them control you... I find venting now and again, in my truck windows up and CD blaring, our out in my orchard works to, but always alone when I do... Do not want to scare anyone

Thanks, Mike. I'm learning different ways of controlling my anger, one of which is therapy once a week, writing and photography. In therapy, we're digging for the root cause, in my writing, things tend to get rather noisy in my head because I visualize that I'm actually having a conversation with someone or something, in person. As for the photography, that forces me to focus on what's surrounding me and not what's inside of me. And now for a new tool in my kit, Rally Point. Thanks for listening.

SFC Richard Williamson - I hear you Richard, I do much the same, I talk to myself, actually out loud as I do live alone most of the year... Its rhetorical in the sense I am challenging my own inner beliefs, and trying to understand the inner anger that comes from a life long experience and not just one period in time... Vietnam is that case in point, it was a very destructive period for the inner soul, killing & destruction on steroids... Our unit seldom ever carried mortars and we were just another line platoon, ambushes, search and destroy, and battles like Soui Tre where I assisted LtCol Vessey and Captain Cartwright fire 4-5 Bee Hive rounds that kill more than 300 in 2 minutes, and has affected me in ways I could never understand for over 40 years... I am also in counseling at our Vet Center, it helps to talk about it, but that will never CURE nor RID ourselves of these events... Be well brother, its good to share these inner feelings with you..
