PO1 H Gene Lawrence - Bloody Amazing If Anyone had Asked Me to Enter a Mass Conflagration Fire Before I Finished Boot Camp, I'd tell You to "Go to Hell" but before We All Graduated Boot Camp, "Been There, Done That" with a Team that We Went thru Boot Camp with. Only Problem when I would be called on to Fight My First Real Fire would be at NSGD Sugar Grove, Forest Fire in State Park. Nobody taught Me How to Use a Shovel to Fight a Fire but I was a Quick Learner.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - for me, it was before going going aboard CVN65. We were told that we would only fight one fire at a time, but they lit two more after we enter the building. Ya can see anything because of the smoke. You just have advance towards the heat. We managed to get all three fires put out, with just one team. Ah, the good times.

Try it with full turnout gear after responding to a structure fire.

What a dirty trick, I am guilty of doing the same to my trainees.
