2 Aug. 1945: B-29s drop 6,600 tons of bombs on five Japanese cities.

ILLUSTRATIONS: (1) 504th BG B-29s release their bombs over Japan. (2) A 244th Sentai Ki-61 attacks 39th BG B-29s over Japan. (3) 498th BG B-29s led by 'Joltin' Josie' over Japan.
