He should have been convicted a long time ago.  This guy set up a MULTIPLE gofundme accounts for this thing a while back with a joke of a lawyer making all kinds of outrageous claims about ridiculous retainers.
This entire ordeal was his fault and he tried to make himself famous off of it.  I did some research on him when he did that gofundme account soliciting funds from soldiers.  He has a long history of these types of things and tries to put himself in situations so he can benefit financially from them.
He reminds me of guys who slam on their breaks trying to get rear ended.  I support gun owners and gun rights, but this guy is a joke and a scam artist.

What work is this senior NCO performing if he's spending a large portion of his time organizing rallies and tending to his (self-induced) legal troubles?  I feel sorry for his unit.

If I were his chain of command, I'd be prepared for a barrage of faux victimization from this NCO.  Alex Jones and company would love to sell the narrative that a politically correct Army is conspiring to destroy this brave NCO.

Just watch it unfold as his unit inevitably takes action, or he gets QSPed.

I don't care if someone wants to stand up for what they think is right. It's their choice, but when you attempt to stand up for yourself while wearing the uniform you have no affiliated the service with your stance. MSG, take your uniform off when you go on camera to make your points. They are your points, not the rest of the Army. I respect the rank of MSG, but right now I don't respect the man wearing it.

I called his lawyer to verify his story when he first started asking for money because he refused to answer any questions, using the "i can't talk about it" excuse.  You can't talk about it but you can ask soldier for money.
So his attorney, had a $5 website and not even a voicemail or answering service for his phone line.  And guess what he claimed this clown's retainer fee was?.....$10,000!  For a class B misdemeanor defense.
The man is a liar and a scam artist.  It costs less than $1,000 to defend that case.  This man is trying to make money and he's using the Army and it's sympathizers to do it.  He needs to be choked slammed.

SSG Burns,

I agree, I'll go with you and we can do a double choke slam. He looks a little heavy.

The police hand cuffed him to protect him from harm, but the weapon remained hosted and never once confiscated as should have happen. While it may have been a toy hand gun, notice how the police just escort him to the station.

Second the police just walked up to him, showing he was not a danger to anyone.

I personally think the first officer over reacted. This matter was not handled correctly.

If the NCO was charged for resisting arrest, then that is perhaps the only thing he could be charged for, because the weapon was a toy and not a lethal weapon as the officers ASSUMED.

He instigated the entire thing.  That was his only purpose for being there.  He intentionally waited until he was arrested before telling anyone his gun was fake.  Even after they stated they believed he had a weapon repeatedly.  He WANTED them to believe that.
Why would any reasonable person believe a grown man is walking around with a toy gun on his hip in a holster?
They escorted him into the station because there was a mob forming and that's called deescalation.  In fact when one of the officers touched the toy the mob started screaming DONT TOUCH HIS WEAPON!  They should of all had their butts thrown in jail.
Fools walking around in ACS's they bought off of ranger joes.
I wish I was there because I woulda been choke slamming people.
