I think what a lot of people, willing to fork out big money on a nice car want is both luxury and performance. How it looks and how it feels, not just performance and/or economy. An Audi S6 that costs about as much as that Hellcat offers similar performance, is more practical, and IMO it looks and feels a lot better. The Tesla looks nice, however I was taught that I should never spend more than half a years salary on a car which means I'll likely never drive a car like that... an S6 or especially an A6, those are at least possible.

I am sure the car is fun and fast and saves fuel too! My only experience was with a 2015 Volkswagen Golf rental and when I put it in sport mode it was insane! I am not a fan of German Cars but this 4 cylinder had 200 horses and it was fun to drive in sport mode!

LTC (Join to see) - I've always been a fan of German and British cars, a close friend just picked up an F-Pace... it's a very nice SUV. Unfortunately I need the practicality and dirt road capabilities of a pickup, so I don't see an Audi or a Jag in my future anytime soon unless I get it for the wife.

SSG (Join to see) - the wife let me have our Challenger because she gets to drive it 80% of the time LOL. I had to get her into the decision-making process. My first choice was to get another Dodge Caravan like the one we have the rebates were pretty good and when she said no way! Her thinking was the Indians in the reservation we're going to bug her for even more rides taking what we a free bus company for her native relatives. Many in our family bug us for rides and they never give us gas money.

LTC (Join to see) As a resident of Newport Beach, CA, I do see some exotic cars. As a visitor to Palm Desert/Indian Wells I see more Rolls Royces and Bentleys. During the 'season', January - March is is easy to count 6 or more of those cars on a trip to the market. Many expensive cars are trucked into that area, watching them being unloaded makes one wonder how much money there is in the world! Such a display before our eyes!

Tesla has been having some issues lately. We will see how they do in the long run. I prefer more reliable transport. You cant beat good ol' gasoline.
