We are asking everyone to share who we are and what support that Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) is providing via WFL. If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them.

Every Tuesday's Topic: "Victims to Survivors!"

Welcome Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) Facilitator, Jennifer Roy, Army Veteran

My focus is helping other veterans, first responders, and caregivers on the path of trauma/victim to survivor. This is an online peer group to let go of your anger, to question, and to re-question, your final decision that it's okay to tell yourself, “Yes, I am a survivor.”

Your path may have started with denial and stating “I hope I am not a victim.” We will argue that, “No, you're no longer a victim.” It can take time to figure out that I you're a survivor and to really believe it. You may have to battle with yourself every day in stating "I am a survivor." It's really hard but at the end of the day you have a great supportive partner that helps battle the negativity and states “you are beautiful and yes, you are a warrior survivor."

Politics and religion are for another place and time, however, that being said, this is safe place and open discussion and you would be surprised at the topics that may arise!" — Army Veteran Jennifer Roy

Join Jen every Tuesday evening for an open discussion about Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and other invisible wounds where the pain and PTSD are still very raw and real. It will be like breaking open and feeling safe for the first time.
