Well, I had to switch vehicles with my Son in Law...so as I was driving down a very busy two lane road next to the Airport in the rainy wet and cold weather (39 and wet) the lady in front of me tapped her breaks, came almost to a stop, then sped up...then ...slowed down. The speed limit is forty five on that road, but everyone does 55 because there are no stop lights or stop signs for three miles.
So I backed off not knowing what she would do next. Now I have been driving for more than fifty five years. Seen lots of stupid stuff. But, well, this one was a new one on me.
She stopped. right in the middle of the road, when she opened her car door, cars coming the other way ...had to swerve. She was on the center line , and when she opened her door, well, the door was in the other lane!
She acted like she was alone . No worries.
She reached back in her car and pulled out a big fluffy winter coat. And then, right in the middle of the Highway, put it on, zipped it up, straightened her hair out, and got back in the car, and drove off.
I don't know how many cars swerved to avoid hitting her as she calmly got dressed for the weather. But behind me was a line of cars stretching back quite a ways. Maybe twenty or more cars.
I know what narcism is....and I think that is what I saw on display. But I don't think I have ever seen it under those circumstance.
The whole world can wait. LOL
I gave her plenty of room ...and even though I was scared she going to get crushed when a car slammed her with her own drivers side door...I had to admire her aplomb.
