NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD
The Christmas season is here, and everywhere you look, you see ads, offers, and Christmas movies. So many of them reference either what they call the “Christmas Spirit,” or the “Christmas miracle.” Sadly, none of them accurately explain the real miracle of Christmas, which is so much more than shopping, buying gifts for family and friends, or finding your heart’s desire under the Christmas tree.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The real Christmas miracle is that anyone can have a relationship with God. Anyone can have fellowship with God, and anyone can be born again. The best part is that we can start over and anyone can enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit living inside them. Everyone has the same opportunity and all they have to do is make a decision to make Jesus the Lord of their life.

This Christmas miracle is shown by Mary’s relationship with God. She never expected that she would have ever been involved with Jesus’ birth, she could have dreamed of it as a little girl growing up, but could never believed that it would one day become a reality in her life.

What was Mary doing on that history-making, life-changing day? Was she gathering wheat? Harvesting grapes? Milking a cow? Making cheese? Baking bread? Getting water?

“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.” (Luke 1:37-38)

At that moment, Mary accepted God’s plan for her life, which was radically different from anything she had planned for her life. Her faith in God’s word as it was told to her by the angel, and her submission to God’s plan for her life as she let go of her own plans for her life to accept God’s direction instead, resulted in the miraculous birth of Jesus.

When God’s plan is on your life, God does not want you to question it. God wants nothing more than for you to trust Him even when you do not understand all the details.

Maybe you do not understand anything that is happening right now in your own life. Why a friend has abandoned you, why a relative is struggling over an illness, why your kids are acting out, why finances are so tight compared to other families, or why you can not seem to just get ahead, and it is hard to see how it could get better.

Whatever you are struggling with today, find a promise written in the Bible that encourages that specific challenge. This is as simple as googling “Bible verses to help with..." whatever you are struggling with, anxiety, anger, hopelessness, fear, depression, disrespect toward others, parenting, etc.. God’s Word has a promise for you.

Write that promise down, and whenever those feelings of struggle rise up, say the same powerful words Mary said, in respect to God: “Let it be to me according to your word.”. God’s promises are always true, in all circumstances, so start relying on God’s word today and trust in what It says is true.

This Christmas, experience the miracle for yourself. If you already have, then please! Tell others this Christmas season so they can experience it, too!

Will you trust in God’s promises today?
Do you need Prayer? We are here to pray with you.
"Heavenly Father, Nothing is impossible with You. The life giving miracle that was implanted in Mary, is the same life giving miracle that lives in me. Mary said be it unto her according to Your Word, and I say be it unto me according to Your Word. I received every Word to me in Jesus and I will allow them to live out in my life. It is truly the miracle of Jesus when You know You are speaking to someone else through my life and Words that come from You. I live a miracle today, and that miracle is my life transformed into Your image. Thank You, Father, for such a Great, Wonderful, and Mighty miracle. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
