Vaguely remember the song, but definitely remember the cars. A little footnote, that black Corvette like that is what the Connecticut State Police used as an unmarked car to patrol the Connecticut Turnpike.

I loved the cars, back then. My first car was a 1963 Pontiac Catalina convertible.

My first car was a black 1951 Ford two door when I was 16... followed by a '55 Ford, then a 1955 Chevy Convertible followed by a 1957 Chevy convertible, which I loved, but gave it up when I joined the USAF... Many cars since though!!! LOL!

I first drove a $50 1961 Ford Galaxy that my dad bought from an uncle because of electrical problems. That was in 1970 and I was 17. I fixed it for 25 cents, after the Ford garage had given up on it for that uncle. I bout the Pontiac from my dad later that year for $300, after he got a newer car. It was followed by my 1966 GTO. After serving in the Army, I bought a nasty 1968 GMC Handivan.
