this is not good ... It's getting as Bad North of the Border as it is Down Here ...

This is not acceptable.

I think the collective "we" do a very poor job of re-integrating troops who return from tours overseas. The restrictions on US Forces -- like General Order #1 prohibiting alcohol and others banning sex even between consenting adults, prohibiting soldiers from visiting prostitutes and encouraging troops to stop smoking all make life easier for a commander, but they fail to give the soldiers some outlet for all of the things they undergo and experience. We have to grow up and recognize the troops need down time to shut off the day and three beers a day while in garrison is not going to lead to ruination. Sometimes troops just need to get drunk and talk and they shouldn't wait until they get home. Better to share with comrades.
