As you all know by now, if I have a pistol, everyone around me is safe, but me. Cause I can't hit anything. And I know nothing about modern weapons. I know I was Infantry....but the Army gave me those weapons, I had no choice in the matter.
So I posted about a YouTuber I watched and shared my thoughts. And Sgt Rick a couple of Majors, and a Colonel explained to me my woeful ignorance of how to train nowadays and even what rounds to use for what purpose. So being Autistic, I did the typical thing and binge watched like seven different channels about Pistol shooting, what Ammo to use, and which weapons to use for Defense, or as an Open Carry.
I learned...a lot. But last night I watched two guys out in the middle of nowhere checking out the "Killing power" of a 9mm. (Their channel is called: Iraqveteran8888) They used a "common enough pistol" their words. And shot at thick plywood from 50, yards, 100 yards, 200 yards and 400 yards. With a pistol, and only a small wedge of metal as a sight. No fancy laser, scope, or whatever.
And they hit the damn thing!
And, oh by the way, it had "killing power" all the way out.
I just sat there with my jaw hanging open. I cannot, I swear, hit anything with a pistol at that range....or any range. I relayed my story about how abysmal I was with the old Colt .45 at 10 Meters, and 25 meters, and that kept me off the Rifle Team (You had to qualify "Expert" with all weapons...and I did, except for Pistol)
So you can understand my awe.
So still no pistol for me, but if you hear me scream (and you will) reach for yours and help a brother out.
