In Texas, when I was stationed there seemed like a part of some peoples daily wardrobe. Didn't seem like a big deal. Should be a deterrent for most with a lick of sense.

Depends on the place Sir. Here in East Tennessee, you don't see it very often, and when you do, it's always one of either of two extremes: There's the guy who's obviously spent too much time on the Ranger-Up website (no offense to those awesome dudes)...and the guy who looks like (and most likely is) an off-duty deputy.

They have open carry in SC and Colorado Springs. Just seems strange to still see it though.
