As I was browsing for some music, I came across a name I hadn't seen or heard in a long long time... The person is Crystal Gayle from back in the day... Specifically from the 1960's & 70's
Here is a short bio:
"Crystal Gayle (born Brenda Gail Webb; January 9, 1951) is an American country music singer and songwriter. She is best known for her 1977 crossover hit, "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue." Initially, Gayle's management and record label was the same as that of her oldest sister, Loretta Lynn. Not finding success with the arrangement after several years, and with Lynn as one of her biggest supporters, Gayle decided to move on. She signed a new record contract and began recording with Nashville producer Allen Reynolds. Gayle's new sound was sometimes referred to as middle-of-the-road (MOR) or country pop, and was part of a bigger musical trend by many country artists of the 1970s to appeal to a wider audience. Subsequently, Gayle became one of the most successful crossover artists of the 1970s and 80s. Her floor-length hair has become synonymous with her name." Read more at WIkipedia.com
Here is her song of note, "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue:
LYRICS:
"Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue"
Don't know when I've been so blue
Don't know what's come over you
You've found someone new
And don't it make my brown eyes blue
I'll be fine when you're gone
I'll just cry all night long
Say it isn't true
And don't it make my brown eyes blue
Tell me no secrets, tell me some lies
Give me no reasons, give me alibis
Tell me you love me and don't let me cry
Say anything but don't say goodbye
I didn't mean to treat you bad
Didn't know just what I had
But, honey, now I do
And don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes blue
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes blue
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes
Don't it make my brown eyes blue
I hope you enjoy it!

It has been said that her hair was so long it was to the floor... That sounds a bit far fetched to me... LOL!

She had to wear high heels so her hair wouldn't drag on the floor and it took 5 hours to wash it.
