I'm sure that with enough public outcry, he'll deny it was ever an option, blame it on Obama, and give himself credit for establishing the NG to begin with...

Article says and indicates FEMA lower level employees. They could very well be Obama appointee holdovers.

When I retired they made all sorts of adjustments to those benefits and early retirement periods and maybe about what operations qualified, I have no doubt that the deep state has and is doing all it can to screw wit things, given the examples these last few years.

People need to read the article before laying blame on anyone. The decision was made by FEMA. FEMA is in-charge of NG when they are title 32 for disasters/emergencies. Once POTUS is apprised of the situation I foresee him fixing it.
