It seems from the Wether News they can't seem to get a break. A few years ago nearly the whole state was in a Severe Drought condition. This psst 2 years would certainly have resolved that.

Around 1956 I Was Heading Out The Door Of Our Home In Lansing, Michigan, Mid Winter.
It Was Colder Than All "as usual"? And The Wind Was Blowing Directly In My Face.
About 2 Blocks From Home, And In Pain From The Cold, I Must Have Said "Screw This", So I Returned To The House.... 4 Of The Others Never Left The House, And Were Laughing At Me....So All Day We Played Cards ~ I Believe t Was Canasta...

Yes, Sir, on the mountain top in BURNS OREGON, during a raging cold spell Minus 34 degrees, blowing ice winds at 130 mph, we played some old records , cards & tried to stay warm in our Barracks. Thank God the barracks were oval in design, so the wind was not so much of a problem, until We tried to open the door, that was a mistake! I went on duty that day in my fatigues pants, no shirt, just my Air Force PARKA, HAD to hold on to the steel guide rail to get into the security bldg., never forget that one, WOW! OUR Alt power generators were kicking ass., & We were still fully OPERATIONAL, OBIDEN DOESNT UNDERSTAND THAT! SEMPER FI! OOHRAH!
