What advice do you have for someone approaching the end of their Guard contract and is trying to decide if they want to go back to AD?

I’m prior active and almost done with my guard contract going to re-up regardless just struggling if I should go back to active or not I miss living it every day also I'm wondering would I have any say in where I went or would it just be a gamble obviously needs of the army come first but would I get any selections is what I'm trying to ask as well

Your answers are with a recruiter. You have to evaluate why you left and why you would go back. The answer lays in the middle.

Honestly, if you're missing AD that much, then you should go back to AD. As for having a say as to where you go, unless you can get it in the contract you'll be needs of the Army. Also, you need to be prepared to be told that you may have to be reduced a grade. Not saying it's automatic that you lose a rank, but the possibility is there. Regardless, in the end you need to do what's best for you and fight for what you want. Go talk to a Recruiter and see what is what.
