It just proves what I've said all along, that the religious right, the evangelicals, the conservative Christians lost the moral high ground when they backed "grab 'em by the pussy" Trump. It is much easier the second time, when it is a man who pursues young girls. They do it because they voted for the "lesser of two evils." That's still voting for evil, no matter how you try and spin it.

Cynthia Croft - of course there were, such as SCOTUS appointments or hatred of Hillary, but it still comes down to the fact that they voted for an immoral person. They had other options, yet they decided that the persons character didn't matter.

I consider myself part of the religious right. I voted, but did not cast a vote for President because the two major party candidates were morally repugnant. And the two minor party candidates on the Michigan ballot were politically incompatible.

But when you are right about one thing , you will use any flimsy excuse to impugn people of faith.

Cynthia Croft - Mattis has issues too. He left Army soldiers, who were calling for help, to fend for themselves on the battlefield.

Maj John Bell - John, you're the exception, not the rule, as far as voting your conscience. I was talking to a friend of mine, a religious right fundamentalist, and he said that it sounded like I believed that they sold their souls when they voted for Trump. I don't believe that of course, there is no evidence that there is a "soul" to sell, or for that matter, someone to sell it to.
