TONIGHT's Topic: "Daniel's First Visions!"
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon; Daniel having finished the historical part of his book, and committed to writing what was necessary concerning himself and his three companions, and concerning Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, and Darius the Mede, proceeds to the prophetic part, and goes back to the first year of Belshazzar's reign, seventeen years before his death, and the fall of the Babylonish monarchy last mentioned. This concludes the narrative of Daniel’s life and begins the account of his visions and prophecies. In chapter 2, we saw the image of four metals symbolizing the four great world empires from Daniel’s day to the end of time; in this chapter we have four beasts that represent the same kingdoms in more detail.
We have come in our odyssey through the book of Daniel to the beginning of his visions into the future. This first vision rolls out in three stages;
1) The vision of the four beasts - Four kingdoms
2) The Ancient of Days is enthroned
3) The Son of Man is presented
The vision concludes with an interpretation of the vision, and ends on a hopeful note.
Tune in TONIGHT for "Healing Through Faith" session with Veteran Steve McFarland.

Daniel is an extremely interesting and confusing book.

The book of Daniels written in the 2nd century is confusing because 1–6, was mostly written in Aramaic and 7–12, written mostly in Hebrew; Daniel is from the old Testament, the overall theme is about God's sovereignty over history. Daniel 1 introduces the fundamentals question/s that runs through the entire book. He was worried about how God would continue to work his plans when in his mind all seem lost. Reading it over and over, I still have doubts, Daniel was not believed to be a prophet by the Jews, yet I look at the story of the him being in a den of lions and survived. I think his revelations
though, were believed, respected, and came to be!. Yet he was killed by Haman, a wicked minister of Ahasuerus. The only real things I see about Daniel was, his ability to interpret dreams and of course surviving the Lions den, God had to be with him. Please, like to hear your thoughts on this Gene!!
