I’ve often said that I wouldn’t mind dying, if it wasn’t painful, but then I think about the immeasurable pain that Christ went through for us. The most painful is when his Father had to turn his back on his Son, who now bore the sins of all. That perfect union that had been since eternity, was at that moment severed.
