While I understand the need for a carbine, I still dont understand the idea behind it being th end all, be all for a unit.

Once you put a suppressor on a 16-20" barrel it becomes more challenging to maneuver. I have a 8" barrel .300BLK that is suppressed and is a very nice length.

While I appreciate keeping tabs on what Soviets produced, I think there are much more qualified Americans to create and improve our military's firearms.
